After graduating from NYU School of Medicine, he went on to complete his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He then stayed on at Mount Sinai to complete a subspecialty in an ACGME-accredited fellowship that allowed him to subspecialize in Sports Medicine and Interventional Spine. Dr. Ibrahim is double-board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Ibrahim was trained to perform a number of different fluoroscopic guided interventional pain management procedures. These include, but are not limited to: cervical, thoracic, lumbar epidurals, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation. He also uses ultrasound in order to diagnose and treat many common tendon, ligament, and nerve problems. His clinical interests include: musculoskeletal medicine, non-operative spine procedures, orthopedics, sports medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine, and regenerative therapy.

Dr. Ibrahim has published several articles on musculoskeletal medicine. He is also a contributing author in a textbook on how to perform ultrasound guided injections. Dr. Ibrahim has provided sideline coverage at football games, captained the medical tents at the NYC marathon, and was a ringside physician for the Golden Gloves Boxing tournament. Dr. Ibrahim’s goal is to restore function, reduce pain, and promote an active, healthy lifestyle using conservative measures whenever possible.
